I've seen them 3 times, and I haven't seen them play horribly at either of the times.
They played a cover version of Radiohead's "Karma Police" during the HFStival in MD, hopefully that'll be one of the tracks..

They played Time To Dance at the weenie roast. The EP will probably be I Write Sins, But It's Better If You Do, and The Only Difference. Which sucks.

06/01/06, 07:50 PM
yes that WILL be the EP track list...it only makes logical sense...
They are probably putting time to dance back into the rotation since they will be playing their entire album on the headline tour im sure.....
Oh and they are usually pretty dead on live.....but Brenden CANNOT sing I write sins at all like the album

Dead on? Half the stuff they use on the cd they don't play live & Brendon does this annoying thing with his voice where he almost mocks himself. I can't explain it, but it's annoying.

check out my moron brother and his buddy rock out to panic!
I bet they won't but I'd love if it the covers they've been doing ("round here" by counting crows and "slow motion" by third eye blind) were on there. I'd love to see (or hear) those but I'm not going to go to one of their shows just to see that.

its easy to be dead on when most of your stuff is prerecorded...

When I saw them on the XBox tour they were pretty solid. Not the best, but not the worst. And yes, Brendon annoys the shit out of me with that shit he does with his voice. Ah well.
They also played "Time To Dance" at the St. Louis stop during that tour.
For some reason I'm thinking that at least a song or two will be new. They posted on their website awhile back that they'd be coming out with an iTunes exclusive EP with new music this summer. I guess we'll see.

Isn't this similar to what TAI did?
Is Panic running their contract with FBR/DD out by releasing lame Itunes EPs?
If there aren't new songs, there is no reason to buy this, IMO.
They are good because of their overproduction on the cds.
They are nowhere near as good live.

they are terrible live.
God that's going to be the most boring EP ever released

I've seen P!ATD 3 times... what the fuck is up w/everyone saying they're terrible? They sounded just fine to me, and I'm extremely critical.
My roommate, who only listens to pretentious indie shit thought they were tight as well... he's just not all caught up in scene bullshit about hating popular bands

I think their live show is less than extraordinary because there's no interaction with the crowd. It's like the dude doesn't even look at anyone, they don't really seem into it at all. When I am rocking out I want at least some acknowledgement from a singer that he knows there is a crowd there, y'know? Like, FOB, I don't think they necessarily sound great live, but they get into it, they let us know they appreciate us being there.

That 3EB cover they did was pretty damn cool. It was especially cool because I bet I could count on my hands how many people in the crowd knew that song. The singer didn't sound bad on it either.

I'll pass. They didn't have much of a live show.
