According to MammothPress.com (www.mammothpress.com): He's only played about two shows but Arctic Monkeys (www.arcticmonkeys.com) temporary bassist Nick O'Malley has reportedly broken his hand. Andy Nicholson, the band's actual bassist is taking the band's US tour off due to suffering from "exhaustion".

okay so now that they're down two bassists, will they still be coming to austin in five days or not??
i hear the bassist if a fundamental element of musical performances like these, so should i or shouldn't i consider the twenty dollar tickets?

tell their real bassist to man up and play with the band. sorry man, you are young and have "made it" in the music industry with one of the biggest bands in the world right now, it must be really hard for you. sheesh man, just play the gigs, rest when you are old.

This band also suffers from lack of talent.

most people won't give this band a chance because they exploded in popularity.

good luck and hopes of quick recovery to both bassists and to the band somehow continuing the tour.
