Stuffing envelopes and doing myspace is par for the course for internships at most record labels. The "good" interns usually get better jobs and more responsibility. The labels need to know you can follow directions, ask the right questions, and get the job done correctly before you start getting more complicated duties.

It's a way of weeding out the dumbasses who come to intern stoned and just want to hang out.

You're welcome. I'm just caling it like I saw it. Kids who want to intern need to know that this is a great way to learn and get your foot in the door at a label. Making the most of it, learning, and doing an amazing job is the way to get hired on as a full time, paid employee. Not a sure thing but it definately doesn't hurt.

I saw it happen more than a few times at the label.
