I'm not sure how many fans of the band know about this, but Manchester Orchestra made a music video for all 11 songs on their newest album. When you watch them all together, it's like a movie/story. I picked up their new cd a while ago, listened to it, forgot about it, but I'm getting into them again. I thought this movie/music video thing was really cool and wanted to tell other fans. So if you already knew, then sorry. Btw, they're all on their YouTube channel.

Agreed. I really like the idea though. IMO the one for Pride is the best.

Yup, seen 'em all. I dig. I think all of their "podcasts" are worth watching, especially the earlier ones. That's how I discovered this video which is, in my humble opinon, fucking amazing.

That one was good, this one has better sound, and looks even more epic if you ask me. Just Saying...

I was actually thinking the same thing. Maybe if they re-release the album, it'll be a bonus disc or whatever.

I was listening to the first Manchester Orchestra album. Then tried the new one again. The first is just so superior

If you turned this in as an essay, you would get an A+

Okay good. Because I'm Like A Virgin is solid gold while Mean Everything was so boring to me and totally lacked all the emotion the first record had

Just want to add that the new video for Shake It Out is cool. Out of all their podcasts/videos my favorite one has to be the one where they did a cover of Time To Pretend

The first record is far too moody. Its good but I really like Mean Everything to Nothing. Personally I dislike the few songs on that record that are just Andy almost silently picking his guitar. The lyrics are good but I feel METN's lyrics are superior. Everything to Nothing, The River, Pride, I've Got Friends, Shake It Out and I Can Feel A Hot One are better than ANY song on ILAVLAC. But that's just me.

No emotion in Mean Everything to Nothing? Are you listening to the same record? You can feel the emotion in every word Andy says. Just because he doesn't practically cry like on ILAVLAC doesn't mean there isn't emotion in the words.

Each Record has an entirely different feel, ILAVLAC is a really emotional and somber, while METN is equally as emotional, but the feel is just entirely different. METN can't be described by any other word but Epic.

that's funny, i feel the opposite way. I think a lot of it has to do with production too, for me at least. The sound on METN is so much beefier. I would've loved to hear "I Can Barely Breathe" done again during their METN sessions. I can't even imagine how much more epic that song would've turned out. No disrespect to your opinion, i just think both albums are good in their own way but METN is superior
