We have themed the website for AFI (http://www.absolutepunk.net/afi)'s new album (out on Tuesday) - if you don't see it click here (http://www.absolutepunk.net/index.php?styleid=63). You can always select a theme using the pull-down menu on the bottom left of any page of the website. Members can select a permanent theme in their options (http://www.absolutepunk.net/profile.php?do=editoptions).

Im waiting to listen to the whole disc on tuesday, from what Ive heard i think itll be awesome. It seems its not as epic as sing the sorrow, which is a little disheartening considering if they drop more of the punk rock sound i think the epicness fits them. Regardless, the songs ive heard are sick and catchy. Its always awesome when a band can write a catchy song without dropping lyrical integrity or dropping interesting elements to the music.

i never really got into afi but for their new album to have a such an awsome theme then thats pretty rad because i think more themes like this would be much better than the regular color ones. like the christmas one was so cool :)

Not as epic as STS? Most of the choruses on DU are anthemic enough to beat up your dad and light your house on fire.

well i havent listened to the whole thing, its only what i heard - for example the opening to the cd is no way as near epic as the intro to STS. Also having big choruses doesnt make it epic.

the intro to DU almost ruins it for me. i skip it every time. not anthemic at all. it's pretty good for what it is, the vocals are well-done, but the beat kills me. they've done so much better in terms of intros, why this?

i personally think DU has a pretty epic feel to it... but try defining epic.

themes pretty cool, by the way.

This album is definetely a grower. At first I wasn't really feeling it which sucked cause I am a big AFI fan. The more I listen to it though, the more I like it and appreciate it. Love Like Winter is an amazing song and ranks up there with my favorite AFI songs.

This is the best AFI CD yet.

Sing the Sorrow is the second best.

Fuck the TEH OLD AFI IS BETR GOD WUT SELL OUTZ people.

They grew, they have a very unique sound, the instrumentals are amazingly awesome, the choruses are very anthemic and catchy.

My favorite CD so far of 2006.

this is a consistently confusing album, which is awesome. ive never really been a fan until sing the sorrow, which probably cuts me out of the real fan set of things, but i love to hear a band evolve.
