I think she is falling out of the "skater" image. Have you seen her lately? She's wearing dresses, has blond hair and has been wearing "trendy" stuff. I guess the skater thing got old. She used to not ever do anything with her hair I remember. Anyways, I liked her first song and that was about it.

1. She says that she hates posers, and lots of her fans dress like her, so she's basically saying that she hates her fans.
2. She claimed to be punk. Although she persistently denies ever saying it now. Punk is do it yourself and anti conformist. Punk is not about making you debut on MTV (like Avril did) or wearing a punk costume.
3. Her voice is completely edited in her songs. Skater Boy is an excellent example. If you listen to live versions of her songs, her voice is bland, lifeless and leads us on to number 4...
4. She is always out of tune when she sings live. I'm not sure why people still go to her concerts.
5. She plays the guitar in the "Complicated" and "Don't Tell Me" videos, yet she never took lessons. I get lessons on the guitar and it is not simple, you can't learn how to do a bar chord or how to tune it yourself, it is impossible. Avril may be able to strum about 3 chords, but that is nothing, she might as well be playing a tissue box with elastics on it.
6. She murdered System Of A Down's chop suey, Greenday's Basketcase, Metallica's Fuel, Sixpence none the richer's Kiss me, Bob Dylan's Knockin on heavans door, in fact she is probably ruining a song as you read this.
7. She slams Britney and Christina for using their bodies to sell records, but there is no denying that Avril does the exact same thing in the Don't Tell Me video.
8.I paid £450 for my guitar, avril destroys them like theres no tomorrow. If she is trying to be original she is failing miserably. Destroying your guitar is a stupid Rock & Roll cliche, that should be forgotten. (Why don't they give the guitar to one of their fans?) If she is so indvidual she would not part take in such a trend.
9. Avril also likes telling people that she's the new Sid Vicious, yet she hasn't a clue who the Sex Pistols were!
10. Avril was origanally a country singer, but her record label decided that they'd drop her if she didn't change her image and sound.

So basically you think she should be shot because she claims to be punk and isn't. Either that or she's hypocrital, which ties in to the punk background she claimns to have. Isn't this the most tired subject in the world.

People like you are the reason she is so popular, you give her publicity that she feeds off of. Apparently you know her faults, specificly, you must pay a lot of attention to her. When I dislike an artist or musican I just simply turn the television off, change the station, or delete the mp3. You follow her every move and criticize it, it's retarded.
