Tony Blair is the most brilliant leader as far as international affairs go. He is acting as a mediator between Europe and the US, and everything he says is so logical that you can't deny it. Look at this (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20030428/wl_afp/iraq_britain_us_france&cid=1512&ncid=1480) article.

I don't know too much about him, except my aunt who lived in London for 25 years, strongly dislikes him.

I don't know too much about him either. But I think that he is not well liked by the majority in England.

Really all I know about him is that he wears nice ties.

I have total respect for Tony Blair, he took a huge risk standing with us in this war, and he showed tremendous amounts of loyalty. He also is a great mediator between the US and Europe, he always seems to offer good points when talking about the war, he is very calm and intellegent and logical, a good contrast to Bush (who are we kidding, Blair is a much better public politician than Bush will ever be). I only wish that america could produce leaders like Blair or Churchill.

I respect what he did in England and Europe and the chances he took for the good of the world. But those protesters that opposed him and called for his resignation, are still the bastard children of something his own labor/socialist party created, and his political stances dont make him totally respectable in my book.

yes, but he has the courage to go against his own party and do what he thinks is right, which isn't something you see too much in america.

Ya before you believe the bad things taht you hear you need to look at who, and what they stand for, is saying them.

I find it funny that some one as "right wing" as your self would call Blair Brilliant.

the only people that really dislike him are the English themselves usually. I mean, i dont always agree with his decisions, but the way he handles them are brilliant. He has alot more stature and tact then most world leaders.

The majority of people in the UK do support Tony Blair, thats why he has been re-elected as prime minister time and again. the negative things you hear about him are opinions expressed from a biased viewpoint most likely in a newspaper that collectively holds support for the opposition parties. People living outside the UK are in no place to judge. Tony decided to go to war in Iraq because of the evidence presented to the government by the MOD, it was only later that we found out that this data was inaccurate (to no fault of Tony Blair). If people keep listening to these naive perceptions of tony blair and do not take a look at the bigger picture of how he actually positively contributes to the UK then we will end up having a conservative government that will take us back to the days of high unemployment and high inflation in the 80's and 90's under Margret Thatcher. He only means good for the country and the entire world; he sets all world leaders examples of how you should run a country. Just look at the example of Global Warming, Labour have just set out a plan to cut carbon emmissions by 60% by 2050. He sets the example for others to follow. There is only one problem with all of his plans.......the USA and Bush.

Don't know too much about him, other than that he set up our welfare programs and NHS etc.

Well that would have happened anyway, with any Labour government in charge.

How can you call Tony Blair an international mediator?? he has been one of the most war-mongering prime ministers ever, taking us into many conflicts over his time in power. Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Afgahnistan, Iraq. that does not seem like a man of international peace to me

Will Gordan Brown sink the Labour party as leader?

I'm really curious.

He should never have gotten involved with Bush. Screwed up his legacy.

I think he's a nice guy but he shouldn't have got us involved in Iraq. Also, his Education Education Education motto turned out to be a load of B.S. Lot's of secondary schools have always been crap but in my opinion they've gone down.
