My name is Pat Brown and I sing and play guitar for Sing It Loud.

How’s the tour with The Rocket Summer and My Favorite Highway going so far?
It's fantastic! My Favorite Highway have become our new best friends and I've been a huge fan of The Rocket Summer for the last few years. Forever The Sickest Kids is one of my favorite bands to tour with and this is our 3rd tour with them.

You guys cover Jimmy Eat World’s “Hear You Me,” do you guys do any other covers? And plans to?
We covered "Hear You Me" because it's a song that we all love and a song that inspired all of us to write music before we were in this band. I think a lot of bands and people in general out there can say the same.

What are some goals you want to accomplish on your next album? Any idea when that is going to be released?
We just wanted to make an album for ourselves; an album that is different than all the bands in this scene are making right now. The "scene" is dead and we wanted to make a big move. When you hear it, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Best story from Warped Tour?
I have 3 best stories.
1. Becoming friends with JR from Less than Jake because they are one of my favorite bands that I grew up listening to and idolizing.
2. Gallows getting pissed at me because they thought I was talking shit about them on stage.
3. The picture of me kissing Jeffree Star which immediately led to the entire Strike Gently community thinking I was a douche bag, but what's new right?

What is the best accomplishment for you so far?
My favorite accomplishment is being able to tour with my favorite bands. Bands like Less Than Jake on warped tour, Cobra Starship, Midtown, well, Gabe in general...and The Spill Canvas.

How did you guys meet Josh Cain and how did he get involved with your EP and full length?
We got an awesome opportunity to open for Motion City Soundtrack in our hometown of Minneapolis and we all talked with Josh after the show and he was really into our set and what we were trying to do. He helped pitch us to Epitaph and when we got signed, produced our current record.

What has been your favorite show and tour you guys have played so far and why?
My favorite show so far was when we played a sold out House Of Blues Chicago a few days ago on Halloween on the FTSK tour. The crowd was insane and we dressed up as the Scooby Doo gang, which was one of my favorite cartoons :)

How do you guys deal with some of the haters out there?
I don't really care about people that hate on us. The way I look at it is......I'm on tour with my best friends, having the time of my life, living my dream. You can't hate on that, and if you do, then the jokes on you :)

What is your favorite album so far this year?
I'm really into "New Again" by Taking Back Sunday.

Anything else you would like to add?
We're putting out a new record in the spring time. Get ready!

Lets have a for instance moment haha I really enjoy The Maine. I see them every time they come through. I have met John on multiple occasions. Most times the convo starts with "Hey man I loved your set you guys did great!" He graciously thanks me. Then we talk other shit. Sometimes its music we're listening to. Sometimes he asks about fun places in the city he should check out later. Sometimes its cracking random ass jokes. But its not "My band did this.." and "When I wrote this song i did this.." Bragging is lame as shit. Which is what Pat did. And its not just that. It was his annoying jokes. It was his ego. Just everything made that guy a tool

Check out their song "Maybe I'm A Ghost." It may not set them apart for you, but it is very good and above average for what might be expected.

The reason I had a problem with that statement is based on having heard their EP which didn't really do it for me. Also based on their, how to put it, presence (?). The image they project and what I have seen of their live sets does not lead me to believe that they would be a band that could really break away from the crowd. I know you should not judge a person/band based on their appearance, but if they are going to project a certain image then they are going to have to accept that certain things are going to come along with it. If you're kissing Jeffree Star, then I am going to assume that you are part of the new neon trend. Hopefully that makes sense.

The new album is probably going to a cater to an older audience (or at least that's my guess). I don't think the fifteen year old girls will dig it as much (Again, my theoretical guess) or at least. They played two new songs at the tour dates I saw them at, and they've definitely focused on this album and I think this album will present them as who they really are as musicians. I'm very excited for it. And I know they are all individually very excited for it in different ways.

And also for the people who say Pat's a douche, I don't know. I think sometimes, when you've only interacted with a person once or twice, you can sometimes just get the wrong impression. He's actually really awesome. I think if you are getting the wrong impression from him, it might just be because you aren't used to having people around you who are very self-confident and not all that into worrying about what people think. Also, he's dating a Millionaire. So what. Maybe those girls don't make the best music... or actual music at all. This actually has nothing to do with him dating the girl, but I am getting tired of people saying that you can't write them off because you don't know them. The way that those girls present themselves makes it impossible for me to respect them (which can be true to a certain extent). Maybe they are nice girls, but I cannot get past the image that they present. Their image basically says that it is okay that you do not respect us because we are having fun, it is okay that you think we are sluts because we are making money. I just cannot get past that, and I think that you have to be a certain kind of person in order to be just fine with or even proud of that image.

Yes, you made sense. I'm hoping the next record has far less Motion City influence. If you go back to the self titled ep before the Epitaph one, the production was a little harder and they had an edge to the songs that was kind of glossed over for the second self titled ep and full length. Live, I think they are enjoyable. Pat and Kieren's vocals go really well together. I don't know if they will break away per se, but they have already come up pretty far to be on Epitaph. And it's great that you are at least giving them a chance by checking out their songs.

I saw these guys at warped tour twice this year, once in INdy and another time at Stl... At the Indy show,they had to get another person to play guitar cause Pat got pissed and threw his... kinda gives me the idea he's a little immature.. The keyboarder Ben is actually extremely nice guy though and reminds me of erkle... Haha i met him in Stl while AVA were setting up and talked to him for a bit.. real cool guy no joke.
