why are english soccer fans always so miserable?

because england always loses in the world cup even though they are one of the favorites every four years.

EDIT: or should i say favourites?

David James. I've only been following football closely for a few years, but who is Micheal Ricketts? The name sounds so familar.
I'd also go with Theo Walcott. Even though he hasn't sucked yet, his inclusion has hurt the England Squad a lot, and has the potential to ruin their WC chances

Ex Bolton and Middlesborough. Then he dissapeared off of the face of the earth. Literally.

Hahaha, this is basically just to mock these players really. None of them are really still in the squad. Haregreaves is but he's only a sub atm.

We beat USA 3-0 last summer. The end.

Why would you say that? I never said the US were better than England. I think England is one of the top three teams in the world when everyone is healthy. I was just answering the dudes question. And if you have a better answer for "why are english fans always so miserable?" i would like to see it...

I don't believe you. He really isn't.

It amazes me how England has a HUGE football following and arguably the best league (teams 1 - 20) in the world, yet their third best keeper played for Norwich last season, their fourth was the second back up at Liverpool, and their fifth was on loan at Watford from ManU.
It's pathetic that there are so few good English goalkeepers. I understand it's a really tough position and a lot of things need to fall in place. I also understand there are so few greats in the world (Cech, Buffon, one or two others). I just would expect England to have more than two goalies in the premiership. (I can only think of two, Robinson and James, if there are more please respond).

Hmm, thats a tricky poll. Where is David James, he is an absolute fucking donkey, remember him v Denmark when England lost 4-1 hahaha.
Owen Hargreaves does nothing. I was reading this article today in 'The Guardian', and it had random World Cup facts associated with different numbers.
"0 - The number of England shirts bought with 'Hargreaves 16' printed on them, (excluding. family)." Hahahaha

David Beckham, by far. He's decent, but he's fucking overrated. I don't get it.

I don't like David Beckham, but he has been great internationally for the sport. I'd say 95% of all americans know who david Beckham is. That is more than any domestic sport player except maybe Barry Bonds, Tiger Woods, and maybe a figure skater or something.
Before Beckham, there were way less soccer fans in america, but also there weren't people, in ManU Beckham jerseys, who walked into bars (since he went to Real Madrid), to watch the EPL and asked which one on the TV was Beckham.
He is very good at crossing the ball and can be deadly at free kicks. He's more than a decent player.
