Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem hands down, although Paul, I'm in your boat. Those weird nightmare scenes in Max Payne really got to me too.

I dont play a lot of horror games, but i would have to say that Res. Evil 4 is scary and I also agree on the May Payne levels. Damn, I love max payne. I wish i could add something here, but thats all i got.

Resident Evil for N64 is the scariest game I can think of. There is a part where this weird creature smashes through a wall in the police station and I nearly wet myself. I've been looking to get a good scary adventure game for my xbox...can anyone recommend a good one?

Fatal Frame was definitly the scariest that I've played, the fact that you don't have weapons and basically helpless for the most part of the game...damn, I don't even think I ever finished it because I got too scared.

Silent Hill. Nothing is fucking scarier than playing that game at night, lights out, with the volume way up, when the static starts to come in on the radio. And the school level, where those knife-wielding demon kids just come out of the darkness. That was some creepy shit right there.

in 6th grade i was addicted to RE2 for months. and playing it at night not knowing what to expect, holy fucking shit. i almost crapped my pants multiple times, not from the scare factor, but from the combination of the moody as fuck music and the sudden zombies and monsters that would randomly bust out from the walls and shit.

can anyone recommend some good 'scary' games for PS2? i havent played one since RE2.
