We've reached the halfway point, and I think the playoff picture is STARTING to emerge, we might as well have fun with the information we have.

AFC:
1. South - Colts
2. East - Patriots
3. North - Bengals
4. West - Chargers
5. Wildcard spot - Steelers
6. Wildcard spot - Broncos

NFC:
1. South - Saints
2. North - Vikings
3. East - Cowboys
4. West - Cardinals
5. Wildcard spot - Falcons
6. Wildcard spot - Eagles

Wildcard:
Bengals over Broncos
Steelers over Chargers
Eagles over Cowboys
Cardinals over Falcons

Divisional:
Colts over Steelers
Bengals over Patriots
Saints over Eagles
Vikings over Cardinals

Conference Championships:
Colts over Bengals
Vikings over Saints

Super Bowl:
Vikings 31 - Colts 27

Some method to my madness.

I know I'm a Vikings fan, but you can't blame me for thinking we can beat the Saints and Cardinals

The reason I have the Bengals over the Patriots comes down to I think someone is going to get hurt on the Patriots, I don't know why, I just do. Also I think the Bengals are a better offensive team then the Patriots. (part of that matchup is because I believe the Bengals secondary is better than the Patriots)

I think everything else is pretty simple, I believe the Broncos collapse and finish 10-6 and the Chargers finish 11-5 (i've said this since the broncos were 5-0, i'm not saying it because of the back to back losses.)

Your predictions?

im a colts fan, but with the loss of bob sanders for the rest of the season in addition to two other colts starting defensemen for the rest of the year will hurt them big time. granted sanders only played in one game this year their defense could be so much better with him healthy. they are undefeated after having the easiest schedule for the first half but the second half is pretty tough although it has some "easy" games scattered in it. we will have to see how they fare against the pats, ravens, and broncos. other than that they got the jets, texans, titans, bills, and jags. they could run the table if they were all healthy on O and D but they would have to get past the pats, ravens, and broncos. that being said, peyton manning is great at overcoming obstacles during the season, its the postseason where the injuries and all the other bs catches up with them. putting them in the superbowl is a possibility. i can see the saints or vikings over the colts, steelers, pats, or bengals.

The NFC north that year, was A LOT stronger than the AFC west is this year.

I see what your saying though.

Denvers remaining schedule has Washington, oakland, and kansas city twice. If they win all of those games, (which they should) i pretty much believe they make the playoffs.

Sorry you don't like my decisions, but if you search through my previous posts in the nfl forum. I always said the gaints wouldn't make the playoffs, I even had the bengals as my wildcard after week 2. the only thing that has really changed is the saints being 1 instead of a wildcard, and the falcons making the wildcard, instead of the panthers.

So really, it seems like i'm just correct. :overhead:

but i also think the Patriots might make a run. Vikings will definitely represent the NFC, they are the most complete team in the NFL imo. The AFC will either be the Steelers or the Patriots.

Haha, I actually believe we are going to find a way to blow it, but I make my picks based upon the match-ups, this is for accuracy, not on my heart. Because in my heart of hearts, I believe the bengals can go on a crazy run and win it, but the odds of that are slim.

I'm all about this being a Vikings thread. I've been a fan of theirs since playing as them in Tecmo Super Bowl back in '91. Even if it is on the back of Brett Favre, I'll take a Superbowl win this year. I love how they're having a great season even though AP isn't necessarily running through teams like he did last year. He doesn't have to. Also, Jared Allen is a beast.

The 09 D is better than the 98 D, but at the same time the 98 offense kills the 09 version out of the water, Favre and all. Why they took a knee....is it too early to drink?

The Texans are another story though, in fact playoffticker.com has them with only a 4% chance to even make the playoffs. but all in all definitely a decent list.

Not likely that the Jets will make the playoffs. You should check with http://www.playoffticker.com (http://www.playoffticker.com/) - the jets only have 4.4% chance to make the playoffs according to them, and they seem to take all remaining games for all teams into account.
