...are fucking crazy.

I sat in left. Matt Murton is a redhead. and a god.

Bronson Arroyo: "Fucking hippie!" "Your album sucked!"

Adam Dunn got the most though...
"Hey Dunn, your mother called, she wants her panties back, woooooo!"
"Hey 44, your mom's a whore, wooooo!"

At one point, the Cubs had first and second with no one out, and a fly out to Austin Kearns in right, I believe it was Jacque Jones got fucking gunned at third trying to tag, hilarious. Air went out of the stadium. And then someone starts up...."Dunn still sucks! Dunn still sucks!"

But the best thing I heard all night...a row behind me a guy a couple different times started up "Dunn is gay! Dunn is gay!"...but at the perfect climax of the chant, with everyone involved in left field, he screams at the top of his lungs, "You fucking homo!"

And some twentysomething was really fucking drunk and threw a beer in the face of the security guard down there...that was scary.

And yes, I wore my Reds jersey to the game.

There was one knowledgeable guy, a couple seats down, who kept screaming for Dunn to come play for the Cubs because the Reds suck so bad...a couple people asked him why and he said "look at the stats, Dunn hits better in Wrigley than any other ballpark, he fucking kills us in this place." i was floored.

yeah. i'd rather play for the reds than the cubs. at least in cincy if you're losing people don't show up and it doesn't risk you getting hurt by some drunk retard who blames his teams lack of a championship on a black cat, a goat, and a guy reaching for a foul ball instead of injury prone pitchers, bad owners/gm's, and their SS blowing a routine double play that would have gotten them out of the inning and out of trouble against the marlins.

they're not unlucky, they're just bad.

Adam Dunn is an extremely streaky hitter in a downswing right now. He's also the worst hitter in a clutch situation I've ever seen (yes, worse than arod!). One of these years, he will have 50 HRs and under 100 RBIs. It is absolutely absurd. And one of these years he will also lead the league in both walks and strikeouts...which is just scary to think about. And he's also one of the worst fielding outfielders I've ever seen.

yeah well he should be a first basemen but scott hatteberg is just soooo valuable...

jesus motherfucking christ. he is a worse first baseman than left fielder. he's so lost out there...they signed scott hatteberg a week or two before the season started and traded wily mo pena so that he wouldn't have to play first. dear god. they even prefer aurilia to hatteberg at first usually, since aurilia is for some reason playing decently well this year.

is he really that bad at 1b? i never get to see him play so i can only go by stats. maybe its just a case of never getting to play 1b often? pujols was like that in his rookie year.

He played some in spot help last year, especially after Casey went down. They told him to work with someone in the offseason after they traded Casey to Pittsburgh...and they thought they could make it work in spring training. Let's just say that he was bad enough that they traded Wily Mo Pena, who was going to take his spot in left, and signed Hatteberg, always an average player, but a good defensive first baseman and a "contact hitter"

Basically the only reason the Reds have Bronson Arroyo right now is because Adam Dunn is an atrocious first baseman.

Don't get me wrong, I still love to have him on my team, because he's gotta turn the strikeouts around and start hitting singles sometime, right? (we've been saying this for three years) If nothing else, he's an extremely imposing batter in the cleanup spot.

But he's one of the most overrated players in the league.

I swear with three games left in the season and a game back of the Cards, he's going 0-5 with five strikeouts and my head will explode.

as a power hitter, he doesn't need to turn strikeouts around. Of course it would be nice if he would cut down and hit make more contact, but if he never adjusts, he is still a major threat at the plate. He is one of the best pure power hitters in the game. That's something you cant look past.

overrated? no way. he is underrated because people have no idea what his power brings to the table.
