The Boys of Summer

They've been pretty polarizing on this site. It seems that people either love them or hate them. They just posted three tracks yesterday on their purevolume from their upcoming album that you can download. What do you think of them? I personally think it's a return to the sound they had on Bears! when they were That Was Something. I find them quite enjoyable.

I LOOOOOOOOOOVE Bears. one of my favorite albums from 08, such an awesome surprise. so bummed when Rob left the band a month after it came out, and unfortunately they just haven't put out anything of that level since. what was awesome about Bears is that it had a rock edge but alot of acoustic and piano without being too sugary. this is just straight up pop.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I think that their new material is a return to that. They even have Rob do guest vocals on one of the new songs. I'm looking forward to their album.
