I'm not really sure what prompted it, but I made my choice on this a few days ago:

Jimmy Eat World - Chase This Light

Curious whhat everyone thinks.

"Magic"? I guess Aphex Twin- Richard D. James Album. I've had that album for over five years and have listened to it over a hundred times, and I still can't fully wrap my head around it.

no album i've listened to has been produced by magic, or sounds like it was recorded with sleight of hand. i'm not going to list my favorite albums, because even though i like them, magical would not be a proper adjective to describe them.

Oh play along. No album ever made you think something magic must have clicked when they were making it? Or makes you feel something beyond guitars, bass and drums?

Obviously no albums are recorded by parlor tricks. Except maybe Panic's discography, as much as I love it.

Well, I always thought anything by Sigur Ros, especially Ágætis byrjun, ( ) or Takk... are albums that have that feel to them. They're a band that creates that atmospheric feel to each song which could be described as magical.
