I was looking through my records (you know, the real records) yesterday and I found a copy of Meaty, Beaty, Big and Bouncey.

I always thought the Who were a little over-rated. They're all great musicians but I never liked their lyrics or songwriting. Same goes with the Stones a little bit.

I think they have some great songs, but on the whole I think they could have been better than they were...Baba O Reily is classic though, great song

A greater percentage of songs by The Who were good songs, compared to the Rolling Stones. But the Stones wrote some great ones.

I'm wondering the same thing. I nearly bought it the other day, but restrained from doing so..

And "Baba O'Riley" has to be one of the best songs of all time.

These guys laid down the foundations of rock and roll, man.
I can't believe how much of an impact they had on rock and roll.

I mean, power chords, breaking shit, loud pounding drums, 100 watt amps (They gave the idea to Hendrix, incidentally, who is credited with popularizing it), 4x12 amplifier cabinits....Man.
I'm so glad they still are around.
