Banana Peeling

Ok, so my roommate and I had a discussion the other day. He splits banana peels into 3 sections, I peel it into 4.

How do you peel it?

most people in america peal from the stem. but if you go to other countries they will laugh at you for that. you're suppose to peal from the bottom because of bacteria that sits on the top of the banana (towards the stem) when they are growing. because the bananas dont go trough any processing like it does here. they just pick it right of the tree and eat it.

it depends. each banana peels differently. sometimes it will take 4 peels other times three is all thats required

It all depends. I don't try for a certain number of peels. Peeling from the bottom is actually more efficient but I always forget since I grew up peeling from the top.

That's how. Guy's a dick though, cracking it from the top is just as efficient as from the bottom. Unless you're squeezing the damn thing, the banana won't squish.

Peeling it from the bottom, that way you can take off the nasty shit first and then eat the whole thing.
