It is with mixed feelings that I come to you tonight, my friends, enemies, and supporters, to tell you that come tomorrow, there will be no more Waldorf.

Of course, the account will still exist. I'll check it daily for any private messages that I might have received. I may even log into it and begin posting respectfully. But the Waldorf you know, the irreverent prick who gives not a care about any one or any thing unless it furthers his own quest for a good laugh, will no longer be a part of your daily AP.net reading.

I've chosen to retire the Waldorf account because to some extent I've come to my senses. There is, of course, a girl involved, as there is when any man or boy wishes to change his ways. However, I do not want her to feel that she is to blame for the end of the goofiness that many of you have enjoyed. She merely purchased the smelling salts - I chose to take them and administer them. It may be brash and I may regret doing this, but I'm convinced that it's for my own sanity and the betterment of my personal condition that I leave my immature ways behind me.

Thank you for laughing, cheering me on, and generally coming along for the ride.
