I think Trigger is slightly better but Cross is an amazing piece of gaming in its' own right. I love those games, some of the best RPG's ever.

Chrono Trigger is one of the best RPG's ever. I love it.

Chrono Cross rules, but don't expect much of a connection between it and Trigger... However, it's still a great game on it's own.
