Instead of trying to steal the thread about taking back old musicians or whatever, here's an real one for the band.
I know there's fans on here, and a lot of people on this site would like them.

About to jam the new CD. We'll see what happens.

So stoked I'm going to see these guys monday. I need to listen to the new album again and see if I like it more the 2nd spin though because I didn't really dig it the first time. It's much more slow-paced than Can't Fight Robots.

This has me worried.

I also forgot that this came out.

There's songs that have faster parts still, but as a whole it really is slower-paced.
Funny thing is they have a 54 second song on it that's pretty much the fastest song they've ever done too.

Hm... It came out on Tuesday, right? It should be up on their MySpace, so I'll give it a spin and see how it works out for me.

Yeah, that's when it came out, but they only have a few songs up on myspace, not a whole album stream. As far as I know anyway.

Yeah, they don't have it up yet. That's weird. Facedown albums tend to go up pretty quickly.

Just DL it like I did, haha.

Ha, Take It Back! is the kind of band I'd like to buy an album from, and I have a hard time motivating myself to buy albums I've already downloaded.

I must have been a little tired when I first listened to the new album because they're more faster parts than I thought. Still slower overall than Can't Fight Robots I think though.

I downloaded Atrocities the other day. Really excited to listen to it. I adore some of the lyrics off of Can't Fight Robots, especially the line "And when the war was over, we all came home as soldiers" from "Together Burning Bright". They have a really strong positive message, and I hope it carries on over into the new record.

As far as it being slower, I'd agree but it's slower in a dare I say, darker way? Aside from the one or two extremely poppy songs it's got a stronger hardcore influence on it I'm definitely digging.

They certainly didn't lose their edge, I just see them honing it in their own way.
Also, that 50 second song is ridiculous.

Just got back from their show like almost an hour ago now. No one really went crazy for the other bands that played except a couple of local hardcore bands that are pretty popular around here, but when it came time for Take It Back! that place got INSANE. Probably the best small show I've been to.

Atrocities is awesome. What we're fighting for is easily my favourite track.
