Being good and being similar to Sum 41 and Green Day are polar opposite qualities.

Aw, don't be the person that clarifies the genre.
With that said, the answer is The Thermals.
Blink 182?
Or give Teenage Bottlerocket or The Copyrights a go. More punky, less poppy.

To discuss music with like-minded people? There's more people who have similar tastes on this site than you'd think.

I enjoy a lot of the music on his profile, and I know of a lot of other users who like it as well. Shockingly, not everyone on AP has the exact same taste.

Big one for me right now is Grizzly Bear. You've got Panda Bear listed, and I've also been getting into Animal Collective recently. And I FINALLY got around to listening to Radiohead the other day.

Yeah, I've found my tastes have changed a lot over the past 6 months or so. Just ordered Veckatimest (which I cannot figure out how to spell) on vinyl. It comes with a free copy of a Heavy Heavy Low Low 12" of all things. :puke:

What era Green Day or Sum-41 are you referring to? Recommendations could range drastically based on the album you're referring to for either band...

OOOOO. Ok. If you're looking for something like Sum 41 and GD, then try Blink-182 and the Offspring. BUT. If you're looking for REAL punk, try OLD Green Day and Rancid.
