anyone planning on going this year?
i just found out that 2010's festival is on the same week as my school's spring break, and me saving money/begging my parents for an expensive xmas present starts NOW.

My bosses are going and I have to arrange all their things for them, I'm soooo jealous...
If anyone goes this year, see Pigeon Religion. They should be playing everywhere. Ok. THat's all.

the list of artists isnt confirmed yet. i just know that there's going to be several of my favorite bands worth seeing, based on past lineups, and im taking the opportunity since SXSW week is directly on my college's spring break. not to mention, im in love with austin based on what i've read and heard about it, and im thinking about moving there after college, so this just gives me a legitimate excuse to spend a few days there and experience it.

Austin is gorgeous. My family and I spend a lot of time there. The weather is incredible and the city is so pretty. There's hills and everything, unlike Houston, where I live. The music scene is the greatest part of the city, you can't really drive down a street in downtown Austin without hearing music coming from a venue. :)
I'm moving there for college, for sure. Its so drastically different from what the rest of Texas is like.

lol this conversation is all very backwards.
it seems like every year SXSW happens and there are only like maybe 10 bands worth seeing... seems like a waste of time/money.

hahaha i agree. i mean, im happy with any of the BSS girls. emily has the cutest voice but im most attracted to lisa, and obviously cant go wrong with feist. we'll work something out, kaitie!
