if anyone has ever been to the Birch Hill in old bridge new jersey it is finally shutting down may 31. there is one last show planned that day. anyone know who is playing?

yea for some fucking retirement community or some bullshit. the birch hill has been such a great place to see bands for years. its been through so much but it was sold and being knocked down.

Krome will still be around, meaning excessdb will probably own the like entire major (bigger bands) show circuit.

it kinda sucks for krome, because krome is a good place to see your favorite band without too many anoying teeny boppers running around. now its going to turn into birch hill. and im sad

yea concertseast reported theyr asking a lot of friends to show up. im guessing a ton of NJ bands will show up since every nj band has played there. probably Midtown and i think Matchbook Romance will play. on MBR's site it says theyr playying MAY 31 but its TBA. and theyll be at krome the night before. and krome is great cause no teenies go there and now it will sell out fast.

i think its going to be a retirement home. but it might be in the form of condos tho.. who knows

birch hill is the place that always seems to have obnoxious people there, no matter what band your seeing.. that just puts a damper on the music to me, krome has a lot less amount of girlies bouncing around

im very sad to see birch hill go... ive had so many memories there... krome is half club, half concert hall... its gonna be interesting what they will do considering they are also a club and if they will start booking more bands... i believe someone shouodl build a new venue, around the same area as birch hill was but make it cleaner and a tad bigger, that person would be making tons of money since birch hill will be closed.

krome rocks. the set up is quite alright. and if STD payed birch that would rock. the last time they played here was the double show at krome. the 23 and 24 of some month. i think oct or nov last year.

yea theyre last show was the 27th/28th of november 2001 at krome. they played with Thrusday. best show ever.

yes thursday anywhere is amazing. and yea i asked andy if they were playing the last birch hill show and he said he doesnt know. but if you go to the MBR site it says MAY31 TBA. so since theyr playing krome the night before, theyve gotttta play the last birch show, mainly since Matchbook Romance owns.

krome rocks the shit out of birch hill. at krome, we actually hvae shows that YOU CAN DANCE TO. and i dont mean "lets all run around like morons and bump into eachother because what 'moshing' is" dancing. birch hill, along with its crowd of 12 yr old teeny boppers, can leave, as far as i'm concerned. the ONLY advantage BH has of krome is their outdoor area. and thats it.

the real problem on our hands is the ego from heath of excessdb.
