I liked their first album. And so i was looking forward to this one. And went out and bought it. And i listened to the first part of each song before I skipped forward to the next one. I think she sings too much on it. It disappointed me majorly. I regret buying it honestly. But thats just my opinion. My thoughts on this album.
Head Automatica was Spin's Band of the Day yesterday :)

I fully agree. I loved their older material so much and really pimped them hard way before they signed, but this new album fell short for me a little. Oh well, I'll have to listen more and hope it's a late bloomer.

I like them both equally at the moment there are songs on So Sudden that I play over and over just like on Like Vines. And there are songs I skip over on both albums. The style of Like Vines is a lot different from what I thought it was going to sound like. I prefer Bob's voice over Gretta's, that's the only gripe I have about it.

I love from behind the curtain. It's easily my favorite track on the album.
(I know I probably got the title wrong.)

I like it. I haven't listened to their older stuff, so i have nothing to compare it to. I def need to check it out.

I gotta say I completely disagree...this album is so much more organized and together than the last album, and "Lions Roar" is one of the best songs of the year.

After seeing a lot of the new songs live, it got better. They add a lot of little things to their live show. Bob is pretty sweet on that geetar.
I like it. Better than the Head Automatica CD. Random comparison, I know, but I bought them both at the same time.
i think it's a solid album. i liked some of the songs on so sudden better, but overall, they did a better job putting this together.

What a horribly construed paragraph.

I think the piano lines sound the same in a lot of the songs and the tempos are all very similar...this kinda caused me to lose interest by the 6th song. I really feel like the band needs to have Greta harmonize with Bob more (by "more" I mean in almost every song)...I don't like how both of them are so divided and I'd wish they'd come together and sing behind one another more often. Even on the songs where both of them sing together, I don't like how it's so choppy- Greta, Bob, Greta, Bob, etc... I just wish they could sing backups and harmonize with each other much more.

maybe you need to listen to each song all the way through, then you can give a more educated summary of your thoughts about this album.
personally, i love this album. i like both bob and greta's voice... for everyone who prefers bob: think of songs like "A Dark Congregation" and "Don't Wake Me Up" with Bob singing Greta's parts, it would totally ruin the song. This is a great band, I could'nt have asked for much more out of this album.

I listened to the first few songs all the way through. But by like the 4th or 5th song I was tired of it. And was trying to find something that caught me. Songs to me are the same as books in capturing my attention. If I dont get into it right from the start then no matter how hard I try im not going to like the rest of it. Their songs do that. And I agree with Frank. Too choppy. Too split up. I just wasnt impressed.

I in love with this album. It hasnt left my cd player since i bought it on tuesday.
& i appreciate how the album is split up between bob & greta equally. they each bring something different.
oh & i LOVE the theatrical quality this album has to it.
all i have to say is "we intertwined", "sweet tangerine", and "don't wake me up"
as for me like vines is really awesome, it has some moments that i have to get used to, but some songs are just amazing, and fun to listen. but i agree that bob and greta should mix a little more with eachothers, songs that they're singing together are surely the best.

"Lions Roar" is one of the best songs of the year.
"Lions Roar" gets skipped by me every time; I just can't stand it. On a pretty consistent album, this song is glaringly annoying . It sounds way too much like the songs on the last half of the Panic! disc, the crappy vegasy vaudville ones.
The rest of the album is pretty great though, but not as good as So Sudden.

The album is fantastic. I don't know how many times i've listened to it now. The songs i never get bored of are "Lighthouse" and "You Are the Moon". They were fantastic live when they supported FOB and that's what made me buy the album. So Sudden is great, but i prefer Like Vines

I've haven't heard So Sudden yet so I have no comparison there but after hearing a few tracks on purevolume I went and picked this up. While I do enjoy this album a lot it didn't quite live up to what I was expecting. It's a good disc, but it hasn't made me want to stop listening to Dog Problems so I can listen to it.

I think i'm the only one here that is satisfied with this new disc. So Sudden was a great disc, but i think this is equally impressive. Gretas singing on the second track is great. This album feels alot more together than the last album. The dude from Fall Out Boys production can def be heard on this disc, thats my only complaint.
