Hey whats up everyone. Not a whole lot going on this week, although the Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel looks pretty dope, although you have to wait until 10pm to see it, check it out.
News & Rumors:
Will Smith is attached to star in "Seven Pounds". A story of a man who was trying to commit suicide until he met the woman of his dreams.
Rob Zombie will be writing and directing a remake of "Halloween". While it will probably have some differences from the original it should be interesting.

Naveen Andrews, Sayid from Lost, has joined the cast of "Grind House" the Tarantino/Rodriguez horror film. He will be joining Rodriguez's part of the film "Planet Terror" which is a zombie flick and will be playing a Military Scientist. The film had be rumored to stop production but apparently that was not the case and "Grind House" is set for a release of April 6th 2007.
FX has ordered the 7th and final season of the Shield, the entire cast will return for 23 final episodes.
Eli Roth has said that the sequel to "Hostel" will focus on three girls who are studying in Italy during the summer who are lured to some familiar places. He hopes to release the film in Jan 2007.
Avi Arad has implied that the "Hulk" sequel might not be a sequel at all but possibly a "do-over" of the first movie.
Fox has closed a deal with Robert Cochran and Joel Surnow to write a script for the "24" movie. They hope to begin filming in spring 07. Sutherland has yet to sign a deal yet but has expressed interest. The Sixth season of "24" will begin filming late this summer.
Robert Rodriguez is hoping to start production on "Sin City 2" in about 6 months.
Rumor has it the Wachowski Bros. are going to be doing the movie adaptation of Speed Racer.
Warner Bros. are releasing a direct-to-dvd sequel of "The Dukes of Hazzard" after all 3 stars have decided not to take place in the sequel. The film is going to be set as a prequel and rumor is that April Scott has the part of Daisy.
After Sony had dropped the upcoming "Hellboy" sequel, it seems to have found a new home at Paramount. And according to Guillermo Del Toro, Abe Sapien will have a larger part in this film.
Amanda Bynes will join John Travolta and Queen Latifah in movie version of the broadway adaptation of "Hairspray". She will star as Penny Pingleton, filming is scheduled for Dec 07
Kate Beckinsale's next project will be "April 23rd" a movie set in the Cold War era about a Russian spy who comes to America and must remain undercover.
There is a rumor going around that Jamie Foxx has been cast to play Bob Marley in an upcoming biopic. While the film won't just focus on his stardom, it will tell his story from the beginning so Foxx will probably not be the only one playing Marley.
Adam Sandler is currently shooting the drama "Empty City" which is about a man who lost his family in the Sept 11th attacks who gets the help of his college friend, Don Cheadle, to cope with his grief.
Another film to catch the wave of "remaking foreign films" is going to be "Bangkok Dangerous" starring Nicholas Cage. The Pang brothers who directed the 1999 original film will direct the American version of the film which is about a hitman who travels to Bangkok to take care of a job only to fall in love with a local woman.
Greg and Colin Strause will direct "Alien VS. Predator 2". No details on the script yet but I would have to say it has something to do with Aliens fighting Predators again.
Woody Harrelson, Stephen Root, Josh Brolin, and Tommy Lee Jones are all signed on to the Coen Brother's dramedy "No Country For Old Men". Set in 1980, the story is about a Texan who is out hunting and finds several dead bodies, drugs, and 2.4 million dollars in cash. After he takes the drugs and cash he then is pursued by an ex-Special Forces agent who is working for a drug cartel, a sociopath, and the local sheriff.
HBO and David Milch have agreed to have a pair of two-hour specials that will serve as the series finale for "Deadwood", no premiere date has been set yet.
Uma Thurman was cast in "In Bloom" an adaptation of the novel "The Life Before Her Eyes" and revolves around a woman whose life falls apart after she survives a school shooting.
Chris Pine is in talks to star in a yet to be titled postapocalyptic thriller written by Alex and David Pastor. The story revolves around four friends trying to escape a viral panademic who discover that they are more dangerous to each other than the virus.
Rumor is the "Bean" sequel will be titled "French Bean"
Hugh Jackman will be taking Russell Crowe's place in the yet to be titled film from Baz Luhrmann. The film also stars Nicole Kidman and takes place during WWII. It is about an English woman who joins forces with a cattle driver against the British after her ranch is threatened by British cattle barons.
The Disney film "Mulan" is getting a live action movie and Ziyi Zhang, girl from Memoirs of a Geisha, will be in the starring role.
20th Century Fox has signed Kevin Bacon to star in "Death Sentence", a film about a father who hunts down everyone in a gang that harmed his family. James Wan is looked at to direct.
Parker Posey, Amy Poehler, and Rachel Dratch are all cast in the comedy "Spring Breakdown". The film sets three thirty year old friends who are trying to escape their boring lives by vacationing in a popular spring break resort for college students.
The "Friday the 13th" remake is still being planned and will be on its way once legal issues are cleared up.
Jessica Alba is taking Lindsay Lohan's place in the indie film "Bill" after Lohan had scheduling problems. The film is a comedy about a guy who comes home to find his wife in bed with a local news anchor, as he tries to rebuild his life he mentors a teenager and eventually falls in love with a saleswoman.
Sony is looking at remaking the 80's horror movie "The Stepfather"
Wayne Kramer's next movie will be "Evil Seek" which is about every 1000 years in Hell they must elect a new Satan, so the reigning Satan must go to earth and take over the body of a mortal and find the most evil person alive to be the next Satan. Thomas Jane will star in the film and it starts shooting in September.
