sounds good. what's going on with recover?

dude rules. band rules. recover ruled.

as far as i know, i wouldn't expect anything new from recover. if i recall correctly, they left it open as many bands do now... but i think they've moved on. this is clear with dan, as young love's signed and has a record coming out.

Dang, recover was great but no use dwellin on the past, and this project gives reason to look forward to the future, it pretty much kills

It's good and everything, but come on Dan.......I need new Recover album, not another MW&C/dance-type band

Yah, I don't want to be a negative nancy, but i'm really getting tired of these bands that were once hardcore(or something like that) that I really liked, turning into dance bands. Its getting fricking ridculous. When it first started happening it was kind of interesting, but now its just getting redundant. Instead of quitting your band to make these dance side projects, just refine the sound you already. I also just want to say. I don't dislike this stuff I just think it just sounds like all the other dance style bands. I think the market is getting saturated and no one is producing anything really innovative.

Oh, it is.....I'm sure it will grow on me. But music like this has no real lasting power.

yeah this is great and all but do we really need another band with songs about "getting on the dancefloor" or some shit like that? I want this trend to die so badly. Recover was 1000x better.

not all the songs are dancefloor tracks like this one... guys, it's called discotech. what else would it be? we want drugs isn't a dance track. dan's just doing his own thing. be it pop, rock, dance, whatever. i found like 25 of his solo tracks one day, they're all good (23 were acoustic jams).

anyway. i ripped it (whether its against the rules or not, i support fair use and will do what i want with the track and will tell you about it since you asked).... PM me if you really want it, we can work something out.

Exactly, let a man do what hes gotta do.

And Dan makes freaking amazing music, no matter what "style" or "genre" it is. Music is music. I Love Recover, I love Young Love, and I will probably like anything else the guy does he's tasteful.

I don't know about that, Luis has done some lame shit, jk! i must say i am fucking ready for him to finish the new record, and come back up to Norman and brink the rock with him. I remember when the secret handshake was a band where luis did all the chromatic stuff, it's come a long way.

i saw Young Love at stolen transmission this past week and it was amazing.
not all the songs are super dancy like Discotech.
it's like "yeah, I still want Recover", but i'm happy to see Dan's still making music.

anyone know what the rest of the Recover dudes are up to?

the songs ive heard so far are amazing. theres a lot of acoustic stuff, not just dancy and the lyric writing is the same, because its dan writing.
