Urgh, I most certainly do not dig this...

This is the first single, and there are 2 minutes of instrumentals before the singing begins? Unless they condense the song, this will not have any success on the radio/MTV as kids today definitely don't have the patience to sit through all that.
Oh, and i didn't really enjoy it either

About 3:30 minutes into the song, Muse tries to do their best Queen impression. This song is okay...I dunno but I'm kinda dissapointed with what I've heard so far.

Really weird and really different. This'll probably be a song that'll take some time to grow on me. The middle of the song through the end is really good. The harmony they have reminds me of Queen and that definitely isn't a bad thing. "Knights of Cydonia" was announced as their single in the US. I think "Supermassive Black Hole" is the single in the UK...I'm not sure.

I know they said this stuff is different from Absolution, but this stuff doesn't really sound all that good. Supermassive Black Hole has a good beat at first but then it gets kinda bizarre. I'm not liking this new song at all. For band that put out the amazing Absolution, this new stuff kinda sucks.
Oh and btw, you can link off to another profile on MySpace that has the song Assasin. That's the best song I've heard off Blackholes so far.

The album is phenomenal. It definetely will take time to grow on people though...it is different than their previous work for sure.

That's what radio edits are for.

that song rocked hard. it seems like this album will be a mix of origin of symmetry and absolution with some other bizarre stuff thrown in. I was wary after hearing SBH but this, and some live vids on youtube, restored my faith.
Bring on the muse!
www.myspace.com/musefans has another new song posted. i like it much better than the other two released.

Actually they did not edit the intro.
Also, it is doing well on the radio. On kroq's furious 5 countdown, they were number 1. yeah

Goes without saying. Supermassive is a horrific song.

the live version sounds way different and way more energetic
i dont understand why they recorded it to sound like this
i love the live version of starlight though
Awesome.
Absolution kind of snuck up behind some people and pulled their pants down while they weren't paying attention. This one's gonna do the same thing, only this time Muse will not be wearing protection.

God damn this is fucking EPIC. Like a cross between Radiohead and Queen. I love it.
I really like the song actually. It reminds me a little of Showbiz for some reason, and it builds up really greatly. Weird choice for a single though.

best album of the year so far....and yes, they did choose weird songs for singles. If they release "Starlight" as a single in the US, their popularity level will skyrocket. Instant classic song.

they said that Starlight would definitely not be a single because its "too obvious as a single" (not sure what that means)
but so yeah it wont be
