So my band is finally getting shirts. i don't have a ruler or tape measure around, so i was wondering what the average size for a shirt/design is?
like we wanted this size (http://www.smartpunk.com/all-time-low-coconut-blue-t-shirt.html)

so could someone give me dimensions? haha.

ask whoever is printing your shirts. most likely 11x17.

thats def 11x17 or close...if its not exact that dimension should work if you are looking to do something that take sup the whole front of the shirt. Its the dimension my band uses as well

More important, it has to be 300 DPI or it will look awful.

don't just go to some crap artist. Hire a good, well known known one for good designs.

I would go through DistrictLines. It's the company we go through. They're really into helping the artists and all, and they've got some pretty big name clients (Paramore, TSL, FOB). Most companies will tell you the requirements, and Districtlines even did all the imaging for us since we had made our logos separately.
