Victory Records cares so little about independent music it's phenomenal. They allow their cds to be sold in best buy for cheaper than the wholesale price they offer to independent record stores. Some people may say who cares but there's a lot of music carried in independent record stores that will never be carried in places like best buy. The day I find an old American Nightmare album or the entire Locust catalogue in a best buy I'll apologize to Tony Brummel myself. I'm not saying you have to love the Locust, but I am saying that music takes more of a precedence over profit in indie stores than best buy. Victory is the single biggest mostly "independent" label and they are singlehandedly killing independent music in more ways that just this.

Why so negative? I like Victory. Who cares if Victory sells at Best Buy? It just gives more people the opportunity to be exposed to the music. Isn't that what most bands want? To expose their music and share it with people?
I think it's great Victory streamed the albums online. It gives consumers a chance to hear the music before buying the CD. That way you don't waste $15 on a CD you don't like.
