So the Ohio Sate vs. Michigan game is this Saturday, which has always been a big deal and a great tradition to Buckeyes fans like myself. Since Michigan has been basically terrible the past couple years and OSU has won five straight, some say the rivalry has fallen off the radar, which was rated the best North American Rivalry in all of sports.

So what do you think is the best rivalry in College Football as of now?

Michigan sucks. But so does Ohio State. Big 10 = Big Slow. The whole conference blows. Can't win the big one.
With that being said. Mich-Ohio State is a good rivalry, but lately it had fallen off the map.

Texas-Oklahoma is always awesome. So I'd give them the edge.

Pitt vs. Penn State was a great one (not that I was alive to see it, but I've heard). Also, it'd be a fantastic game this year, seeing as Pitt is actually good.

Michigan won "the big one" in their last bowl appearance, though, against Florida/Tim Tebow in Florida for the Capital One Bowl.

Texas-Oklahoma. But U of M-Ohio State comes close.

I'm still a big fan of Oklahoma-Oklahoma State and Oklahoma-Nebraska, but I'm pretty biased haha

I wouldn't really call that a "big one"

It was a "big win" for Michigan, to go into Florida and beat Tebow and the rest of the Gators, who were highly favored, but even more so because of Lloyd Carr's retirement and redemption from a loss to OSU and the infamous App St debacle. I'd say it was one of the more notable wins for the B10 in recent years, seeing as it hasn't had many.

That being said, Michigan vs. OSU will always be the best college rivalry, regardless of how good each team has done in relation to the rest of the season. Michigan could lose every game as far as I'm concerned, but a win over OSU makes the season seem worthwhile. And, if OSU were to have a bad season, a win over Michigan would be excellent redemption.

South Carolina - Clemson for sure. yea, it's a biased answer, but in SC you're either a Tiger of a Gamecock. period. it makes for some serious intensity. really, i think that all intrastate rivalries are best because of that.

AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH I love when people comment about the Big Ten being a weak conference.

Just for the record there are 2 conferences in the nation with 4 teams in the top 25.

Those 2 are the SEC and the Big 10.

Yes, they have teams ranked. But those teams are overrated. Which was my argument. Big ten is overrated.

OSU-Michigan even they they suck now. Big 10 is over rated. Texas-Oklahoma second
Army-Navy not really for the football but for the history and what it stands for.

Take a look at the most recent poles.

Big 10 - 3 teams
ACC - 5 teams
SEC - 4 teams
Pac 10 - 4 teams

ND/USC is one of the greatest inter-sectional rivalries ever. There have been tons of games that meant the difference between the other winning the NC or not. They're also both tied at #1 in National Championships won(11) and Heisman Trophy winners(7). 5 out of 10 of the most watched college football games in television history involve USC/ND.

Boston College doesn't come close to USC.

Thats a little bit of my point. He was trying to say that the Big 10 is so strong because they had 4 teams ranked. But in the new polls, the ACC has 2 more teams than them. Does that make the ACC the best? No.

I'm just trying to say that the Big Ten is overrated. They have a couple strong teams at the top, but after that its pretty bad.

To bad its not going to be to much of a game this year. My bulldogs are going to get there ass spanked by G tech. But rly its the only game I know where I will see players just out right throw punches at each other. Even the fans will throw down in the stands.

The thing that sucks is that most of my friends are Tech fans, whereas I'm a Georgia fan, haha. There might be a brawl.
