that terrorist group is located in Iraq, so wouldn't that mean they have ties with them?

that probably doesn't matter. 9/11 terrorists had ties to Saudi Arabia, yet we continue to have good relations with them.

That was origonaly posted in the times dude . I think they are the worlds longest running news paper defintly englands longres running newspaper. Quite frankly If the ran a stroy saying that humans can flap their arms and fly, I'd belive it. Most of the stuff on common drems comes from other news sources. The new yourk times, the boston globe, the associated press, the times (not the new york times). I can tell you for a fact tha specific article did not come from a bias because in england it is illeagle to reprot from a bias. Yes it is possible, just dificult. On that note, if your so concerd about news being reprted from a bias, dose that mean you'll stop posting storys from fox news?

Okay then, assuming it's true, I'm sure there's a good reason for this. Possibly they don't see this as a good time to go after this certain terrorist organization because it would destablize the new Iraq, which isn't what we need right now.

newspapers and sites in the states are biased. when the anti war protests were goin on, there was a 4000 strong protest here in Geneva. it was completely peaceful. no one fell out of line and broke any laws. we were stopped near the USA embassy by some special units. i was lookin for articles on the net about us, and i found one comin from Texas and all it did was say that they needed tons of police to control us "out of hand" rioters. fucking bullshit.

Thats your opinion of the "protest," you saw it as peaceful because yuo were apart of it. Someone else who wasn't apart of it could look at it and see you guy as a bunch rowdy maniacs tearing up the streets. Its all perception.
Also you, living in EUROPE, have no right to call our medias bias, cause you guys don't have on independent news site on the hole continent.

Jesus christ! why won't you just admit that it was a bad move on the part of the US government. You often make the statment that liberels will disagree with anything bush dose, just because it bush, yet the only you have critisized him on (that I can rember) is sending AIDS money to africa, and you did that just because it is more towards the socalist side of things. Can you say hypocrite? How can you possibly defend the fact that the US governemt has ties with an organization that THEY listed as a terrorist group, yet support the slaughter of inocent iraqis when exersizing their right to protest? 16 Iraqis have killed by american forces during protests, and acoording to witnesses, they(Iraqis) only fired first in one instance. And don't feed me that bulshit that they were throwing stones and stuff. There is a Major diference between a stone and a gun, let a lone a machine gun. That is terrorism to my friend. Could the reason you defned it be because it is sanctioned by the government? Any way, I've gone off track. The main point I want to make is:The US government has made ties with a fucking terrorist organiztion that they have recognized as a terrorist organization! How can you possibly defend it?

well, it was peaceful. the worst thing that happened was one kid who through a rock at a car, but people grabbed him and took him away. And i have all the right in the world to say it. I never said that european news is perfect either. but we sure as hell did not do anything that the texan newspaper said.

oh, and another thing, chances of something getting out of hand here in switzerland is kind of rare. the only time things go a bit off hand is when the G8 forum will take place...next month i beleive. that should call for some interesting headlines.
