i disagree, i think the usa defence were taking a lashing from the back, kasey was just unlucky

i disagree, i think the usa defence were taking a lashing from the back, kasey was just unlucky I was just making the joke...as a former goalie, I know that with that kind of defense the US put up today, 6 goalies wouldn't have been enough.
Keller has actually been a damn good goalie for the US, they gave him no help today
Also, that second goal was a nasty shot to the side, and the breakaway...those two are unsavable really

Beasley didnt play have a good game. Arena needs to move him to the left side so he can be more effective and he needs to pick it up

no, beasley just needs to be out of the lineup, he had no touch, he couldnt even trap the ball without giving it away, plus you cant take on convey, he is the most aggressive player on the team. I think the US has to go with Dempsey in place of Beasley.

yeah and they better be a LOT better for italy.

good for you, but if you watched the game today you would know that beasley was the worst player on the field, he did nothing positive. He was timid the whole game and whenever he got the ball and didnt lose it to the other team he played it backwards to the fullbacks. Just because beasley was good in 2002 doesnt mean he should start now. Dempsey played good in qualifying and he deserves the chance. Plus he is one of the best US players in a one on one situation.

yes, i know he plays the left, but so does convey, thats why they moved beasley to the right in the first place. And convey is playing much better. And him playing on the right is a poor excuse for his performance today. The guy couldn't even trap the ball.

dude, you are wrong. I am going to admit that i dont get to see beasley at his club matches in holland, but i am betting you don't either. So I have to go by what I hear from the experts and i read articles before the cup saying how there was indecision about who was playing the outside mid positions because beasley has been so inconsistent over the past year. Just because beasley was one of our top players at the last world cup doesnt make him one of our top players at this years world cup, and he clearly isnt. And yes i want to bench him after one bad game. We have one more game to turn this whole tournament around, this isnt time to let him try to get back his game. It is time to give demspey a shot to do something special.

Beasley didn't play much for PSV Eindhoven this year, wessa. He was benched for most of the season for performances, from what I've read, that sounded A LOT like the one today.
I agree. Put in Dempsey on the right and kept Convey on the left.
Arena will never do it, but hopefully he'll see Beasley totally overclassed by the Italians early in the game saturday and replace him before it's too late.
