you did this to me in a million sad ways that are unaccounted for. i’ll sit here recognizing your voice and your face. i have been staring at the clock for days on end, waiting for your phone call.
the poems aren’t enough to soothe me
the words not enough to calm me
the sentences not enough to make me sleep
the music isn’t even enough for my angry mind
the guitar rips,
the piano sparkles,
the bass roars,
and then the drums settle.
those are the stages of my madness.
rip, sparkle, roar, settle.
i have settled.
ps. this is the only poem of mine i'm willing to share. if you don't like it, i understand. i'm very personal about my poems, i rarely ever share them. thank you if you do like it though.
