IGN gave AFI (http://www.absolutepunk.net/afi)'s latest album, Decemberunderground, an extremely positive review (http://music.ign.com/articles/711/711277p1.html).

IGN is not someone I trust for musical expertise.

I like their new album.
AFI's new CD is good--IGN is horrendous with music reviews.

I love IGN's reviews, even if I don't agree with them. It's interested to hear people who cover a WIDE variety of musics (wider than most publications) without connections to any scene. Aside from Blender (a surprisingly good magazine), no mainstream magazine's worth shit for reviews. At leat IGN attempts to talk about the music and scale it with some thought, as opposed to slapping a high mark just because it's what one would consider 'good.' This reviewer thinks this album is great and makes a case for it, as with any review you can disagree with it, but hey, someone's trying.

They get discredited because the mostly cover games, but IGN has better reviews than a lot of sites that only focus on movies or music. It's also nice that they aren't bias towards a specific genre. Deja got a hell of a score on IGN back in the day if i remember right.

too bad that album is to the point where people say simply "Deja" and everyone's like "oh yeah that album" hahahaha
how does that work negatively exactly?
i actually like the new AFI cd...i was surprised.
i am definitely not a fan of the new afi. don't like it at all.

Fuck Ign!
They must have accidentally got it mixed up with one of the older albums.
Silly mistake.
Is it just me or does miss murder sound like a bad Green Day Song?

No, they didn't mix it up.
And no, it's not just you. It's you and a couple other dumb people.
Honestly, anyone who says Miss Murder sounds like a Green Day song needs to be shot. They're flat out wrong.
OMG THEY YELL "HEY!" IN THE CHORUS ---------- GREEN DAY TOTALLY INVENTED THAT.
(i.e. That's the only possible part you could think was Green Day, as in no way does it sound like them.)
