The PL - My Thoughts

I think that the majority of the posters here on the PL have a number of issues that really need to be worked out.

First of all, most of the posters here are extremely sexually wound-up. This place is rife with threads about sex (whether about getting it or not getting it in some shape or form) and those that aren't about sex generally wind up plagued by off-topic sexual discussions (hello, songydarko and kemichels).

Those that aren't publicly sexually wound-up are generally very grumpy and have zero tolerance for fun. I can't say for sure what any of their issues are, but they sure can all be pretty nasty towards other folks for no apparent reason.

This forum needs more happiness, and more honest innocence. Self-aware threads about fortune cookies are not any help at all. The 'anal' trend needs to die because it isn't funny and, to be honest, it's rather disgusting - at the same level as all of the sex threads in here.

As such, this is a plea to the regular posters of the Personal Life forum on AbsolutePunk.net to, for lack of a better term, 'class it up a bit.' Bring up the sophistication and the innocence and quit being so damned revolting all the time. Sort out your sexual and grumpiness issues on your own, in the real world. If you've got a serious personal problem, (i.e. your dog has passed away) then post it in here.

Not hating. Just saying, you guys really do ruin alot of threads. I think it's awesome, the relationship the two of you have. It's just, the way you two overtake threads with sexual conversations is like opening the door to a hotel room you just checked into and seeing two people swept up in passionate lovemaking, who then, realizing the door is open, scramble out into the hallways, still intertwined, and begin shouting out to the world that they are indeed in love and are very much indeed having sex.

Most of the things we say are just to joke around and be silly. Besides half the threads we hijack are threads that are shitty to begin with. Also if you hate it so much, just ignore our posts. We're a harmless little couple.

I've got a much better idea. Put your money where your mouth is. You want to improve PL? Stop posting useless crap every five seconds. You need to work on your own annoyance of others before criticizing other people. You make PL unbearable.

I don't take too many things seriously in the PL forum. It's not moderated well, and it is quite boring. A lot of the situations brought up are lackluster, and no one really wants to hear about other people's problems--unless they are sad or depressed themselves.
