Thick Records (http://www.thickrecords.com) have signed Chicago-based post-punk trio Four Star Alarm (http://www.myspace.com/fourstaralarm). The band are made up of guitarist Jeff Dean (of The Bomb and The Story So Far), vocalist Theodore Moss and drummer Mike Horick. The label describes the band as "taking cues from the mid 90's American indie underground while laying claim to a sound uniquely their own. Complete with grating guitars and Windy City grit, there's no pretension here, only scratch and grind and some goddamn good songwriting too." The band's debut album comes out September 12th, which you can hear tracks from on MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/fourstaralarm).
