incredibly hard to become a studio musician. you had to be the top of your class a a school like Berkley. or its very slim to become a successful artist. half the band we listen to and consider successful are still eating on scraps and just getting by on rent after life on the road in a van.

100% to get onto itunes.

Because you can get your songs uploaded onto itunes for around fifteen dollars if you get it recorded at a suitable quality.

Being sucsessful depends on what you write and play really. You can put it up for sale but it doesn't mean people will buy it.

it all depends but yeah tunecore will put up your songs for like 20 bucks an album and then they pay you full profit for every song you sell check em out but realy if you have a drive a band and a concept you could make it if you guys are all serious about what you do

It's really not hard to tour with decent bands and get yourself on itunes and what not. You just have to know the right people and not be awful.
As far as becoming a huge hit, doubtful. But good luck to you :)

True! I did it. You can too. Just try, It's worse to sit and wonder if you could've made it than to not make it.

Play music you love and market yourself like a champ. A can-do attitude and a friend of a friend sort of connection can get you places. My band started as a fun idea between a few friends and, through elbow grease and a few chance encounters, had the opportunity to go places.

Be extremely controversial to get media attention. Release a shit record and get $$$.

Then dump that act and dish out the genius work for your sophomore release.

thanks!!!!!!!!!

Also, instead of using iTunes for a starting musician use this place http://indiestore.7digital.com/portal/servicelevel.aspx , the songs are for sale world wide rather then just in your region, and you can set your own price, if you sell it a little cheaper than iTunes price you'll more than likely make more of a profit in the long run.

And it's free to use!
