I just saw that and was going to respond, but I'd rather do so in here so labels see it.

I've said it once, I've said it a million times: SIGN THIS BAND!

The best bands don't get signed...that's why.

If you think I'm wrong start listening to NPR stations when they play music. You'll find some of the best stuff out there.

Ive wondered the same thing about Farewell. Great bands good following. Amazing potential. A&R people need to listen to AP.net people. Sign these bands.

Anyone who responds with "because michigan sucks" is an idiot, For not being a mainstream music culture state (california, new york-new jersey area) Michigan and especially the metro detroit area has seen many great artists and even some cool "scene" bands signed. (Chiodos,Bear vs Shark).

well who is silent movie records then, and why are they listed on their purevolume page as a member of their roster, isn't that the label hit the lights was on before triple crown?

perhaps because much like farewell, they sound like every other band in the 'scene' right now...

To me what makes a band good is not just the sound but the lyrics too. Farewell and The Weakend both have incredible lyrics. With the combination of good lyrics and sound each have is the reason why I wonder why they both aren't signed.

i'd love to know. they're better than tons of bands that have the 'same' sound, getting signed seems like a crapshoot to me.

This band is truely a great band. It's times like these that you'll see bands give up, and i'm sure they're getting there. But god dammit, this band has been doing this for so long, even before the Weakend. And for anyone who says they sound like everyone else, thats because every band in Michigan is trying to be them Fuck nay sayers. happy birthday drew drew

There are a lot of bands around the Detroit area that have a lot of potential. Just no one ever takes us seriously. For example, theres Bedford Drive, they're huge around here and parts of the midwest. Tough Call has gotten some press but not as much as they deserve. Countless others, Alucard, Quit Your Life, Heads Will Roll, Heirs and so many others. Ask some of the bands from here, the bear vs. sharks and the chiodos' and they'll tell you, Detroit has the same energy as some of the other places just no record label to with stand. Give them a chance.
