Hey guys and girls,

I'm Shaun from Emoticon, we've been a band for two years. We write whatever music we feel like, and as a result, we get a pretty diverse result (which can't be seen from what we have on myspace, yet). We have pop-punk songs, we have post-hardcore songs (without screaming). We have pop songs, we have acoustic songs. Their all different, and that's what we like best about it.

And we're between 16 and 15 for the members. So don't be overrrly critical. :)

We're in the process of finishing up recording our demo, so if anyone is interested, friend us on myspace and come to our shows! Shipwrecked is a pretty new song, Someplace is an older pop oriented tune with a pop-punk chorus.

Let me know what you guys think.

So I listened to both of the songs on your myspace, and I think you guys have potential. Someplace definitely stands out more than Shipwrecked.. IMO, shipwrecked just sounded like your typical pop punk song full of powerchords and , but someplace had an indie/rock like vibe that I like.
The singer needs to learn how to sing higher, because in todays music world its hard to make it if you dont have a large range.
Keep up the nice work!

The singer for Someplace has a really good range, but the Shipwrecked singer could learn to sing higher. Puberty suckssss

Thanks for the comment though!

Any more feedback? We posted up a new harder rock song called She's Gone, I think its more AP style music than the last two songs.

LOL... you should write a song titled "Puberty suckssss"

but seriously... songs have potential. keep at it. I wish I was releasing my own demo's when I was 16, instead of learning how to play Nirvana songs.

Not planning on changing it, it's the music that counts. Thanks for the comment though!

And cool Ardon, I'll check it out!
