Try trading shows with other local bands. Find the bigger bands from each area on MySpace, and message them about shows.
Also, get in touch with Fare Thee Well (http://www.myspace.com/faretheewelltheband) from Newark. That's like an hour east of Columbus, and I'm sure they could get you on a show out there.

Thread bump.
Im trying to book some shows outside of Cleveland. Im in a band called Fangboner and were on Lightning Rock Records.
Some places that I deal with consistantly are:
The Oranges Street (Akron)
The HiFi (Lakewood)
Club Khameleon (Kent)
Red Parrot (Lorain)
I have either checked out or been in contact with a lot of the places you guys have recommended. Im looking for some more stuff around the northern part of the state currently, but will be needing some stuff around the whole state and also including Pittsburgh, Detroit, Erie PA, and some places in Indiana if possible. Any contacts of the sort would be very much appreciated.
If anyone is in a band and wants to trade shows sometime too, lemme know and well work something out.
