Here (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=144630) is my review of This Town's Disaster, the excellent debut album from Blackpool Lights (http://www.absolutepunk.net/blackpoollights). On their AP.net profile (click the band name), we have the lead single "Blue Skies" available for download. Leave your comments!

I saw them live with Mae and I thought they were boring. All of their songs sounded the same and it just kept dragging on and on. But then again I haven't heard hardly any of their songs before that so that may have been why I thought they all sounded the same.
I like them alot. When I first heard them demos a while ago, I was stoked for the whole album.
Very good and informative review.
Now, to head to my local record store to buy the CD....

It's a really good CD. People will say I rated it too high or whatever because of what it is (a pretty basic CD if you look at it 100% objectively and detached), but the lyrics and emotion on it hit me in a way that no other CD has done this year--that's why it earns a higher grade, and that's why I recommend it so highly.

i love it, it has a vibe to it that i haven't felt in a while with newer records! That's what I love about it so much. It's really personal and honest...it doesn't feel forced in any way, and that makes it so much more lovable.
