Don't you dare put up videos on YouTube of yourself dancing with music playing. The RIAA will get you (http://techdirt.com/articles/20060614/1837225.shtml).

What is the point of cracking down on something soooo petty? The article made a good point, those videos help increase interest in an artist and nobody is trying to profit off of the videos. For all they know, the person did buy the music. Whats next, you cant play music in your car with the windows down because the other people on the road didnt pay for that cd?

the one thing worst than RIAA has to be the england football team.

That's cool, we need less of those videos on the internet anyways. And I agree with the listening with windows down comment, getting closer everyday to that kind of attitude from the RIAA. We hates them precious.
Fuck the RIAA. I'm getting sick of all this shit. I'd like to think a boycott is in order, but something tells me it would never work.
ahah fuck. i apologise, its 6am here.
6am is a bit early to start drinking, isn't it?

haha...the sad part is that that is the next step. Just looking at the news from this site makes me wonder...lose internest neutrality, lose the ability to even play music in public...it's interesting to see how personal rights are being shifted at times.
Or your apparent failure at understanding the english language. haha...owned

the RIAA is so fucking stupid! they need to stop and realize that is in no damaging to the artist or copyright holder. if anything it would be a benefit to them because it works as promotion. idiots.

this is what happens when out of date, crusty, old white men put their heads together to solve piracy problems. long live the riaa. they're doing one hell of a job.
i'm beginning to think that they sit in their nice board rooms thinking of ways to rape people of any kind of freedome or enjoyment they might get from music.
*crying stars*
06/15/06, 03:39 PM

next thing you know, you'll have to pay a fine for listening to the music on purevolume.
The RIAA needs to relax.
seriously? what else am i going to do at night if i can't watch videos like that anymore besides get a life?
does this also mean no more myspace haircut themed videos with an 'emo' song in the background?
the RIAA is getting dafter by the minute.

Haha.. nice.
But serious, the people at the RIAA must have the smallest penises in America. That would be the only way to explain their complete, anal raping compensation. I bet they all drive pick up trucks too.
hahahah they're such a joke.
What??????!!! What will become of the video I posted where my friends and I do a HILARIOUS version of Hey There Delilah into our camera phone?

"Clearly, some kids videotaping themselves bopping along to some song aren't going to pay a license fee -- and these sorts of viral videos tend to help build up more interest in artists. So what good does it do to go after these videos?"
so true! who HASN'T seen that hellogoodbye video with the crazy girl and her grandma??

They should be taking advantage of downloading and this type of stuff, not tying to get rid of it.. it's never going to be over so why try to stop it?

I, for one, could do with less of those damn videos of people dancing around to fucking "Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too." Those people deserve to be sued.
Well, I bet this guy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UT2cakhogJA&search=biker) is really regretting making this video now

The things rich people do the stay rich...
I honestly just spent like 10 minutes racking my brain trying to see things from the RIAA side. The is no justifying this. It's crazy. I can understand downloading albums illegally, that's actually hurting someone but this is only hurting the eyes of the people who watch these stupid videos.
I guess the RIAA is desperatly fighting a battle that in the end they know they'll lose and that's why they continue to make everyones life miserable with this crap.

I was under the impression that the way US copywrite law worked, you didnt need to license the music as long as you wern't selling whatever media you created. free videos on youtube should be protected
