This is exactly how I feel. The new season could be funny, but I'd rather not chance it and have it ruin the finale for season 8.

You guys need to visit the official thread. There are plenty of articles saying it looks like Braff is on for the entire season.

Carla is officially out because she wanted to be a regular. Elliott I guess is still gone after six episodes or whatever her run was. Bill Lawrence is still writing and working on it with the people that worked on it previously.

And finally, Donald Faison (and for some people, Johnny C.) is on board therefore I am in.

JD will most likely be back for the entire season now, other returning: Cox, Turk, Denise, Sunny, Kelso.

Lawrence wanted it to be a spinoff and tried to fight for a new name but ABC insisted it still be called Scrubs,

I'll watch the first few episodes but I doubt i'm gonna watch the whole thing. The whole school thing and change of cast just sounds really bad. It's really disappointing because season 8 was the best season since 5 and now they're just gonna ruin what they created. How many "final seasons" are their going to be before the show finally ends.

Also if they wanted a spinoff they should of made Legal Custodians (get it!)

I'm kind of the same way. But it's only 13 episodes so maybe he will have time to finally make another movie. Was hoping he'd have written and directed another one by now.

As far as I see it, Scrubs is over. The new season is just a spin off in my eyes, I'll wait to see it before I make my decision on how good it is. I'm hoping it's good.

He also sat down with Bill Lawrence and did a Scrubs Season 9 Q/A which, again, if he was just guest starring would seem silly. Just my two cents.

I thought The Last Kiss was good. Probably more-so than Garden State. I watched Garden State a few months ago again and it didn't hold up as well as when I had watched it previously years back. The flaws of a first movie were more apparent years and several views later.

I'm definitely going to watch it and even if it is half as good as it was before then I'll probably watch the whole season.

It is going to be a different show, but at least we got a real finale for the old one instead of it just petering out. It isn't like doing this season is going to negate the past 8 seasons.

I don't think they're making it with the idea of it being the last season, if it does well they'll continue it on. If they wanted to end it they would have last season. It's more of a new beginning.

I wish they changed the name or something. Because they ended it SO PERFECTLY. But I love Scrubs, so I'll watch the show for sure. If after one season it doesn't hook me, then that's it.
