John Locke: Hey, hey, don't you walk away from me. You don't know who you're dealing with! Don't ever tell me what I can't do, ever! This is destiny. This is destiny. This is my destiny. Listen, I'm supposed to do this, damn it! Don't tell me what I can't do! Don't tell me what I can't...!

When I saw that song name I thought about that. Moneen is sweet and John Locke is my favorite character on lost by far. Cant wait for the next season.

You rarely use such an obvious character name without intent to do so.

The song IS a reference to Lost, but yea, I'm sure Moneen was so very concerned with the notion that experience is both internal and external and go around preaching their thoughts on sensation and reflection. or maybe not...

pwned? seriously? wow you guys really have loosened up what constitutes as pwnage these days. i hardly consider not watching television programs pwned. especially when it coincides with a philosopher, something more relevant and useful.

i guess pwned isnt the word here, but ill let you get away with it

I totally agree dude. TV only makes the mind more shallow and less deep; hence the reason people are becoming more stupid and insensitive everyday...(sorry i hopped onto my soapbox)

i fail to see my hygenic use. regardless, it is you who remains to be critiqued. maybe you should make a joke at the topic at hand or the misunderstanding on my part because i dont watch television. you know nothing about me to make such an assumption. im sure in a long enough time span you will say something stupid enough to get my attention, but as of right now youre just some new kid who doesnt know what hes talking about.

I actually interpreted the song's title as a Lost reference, too. When first introduced, John Locke, a character on Lost, was wheelchair-bound... He sought to go on a Walkabout, a hunting expedition in Australia, but was told he couldn't because of his condition. After he was told he couldn't, he flipped out because he didn't want people making decisions for him based on his handicap. Moneen gets mad props for that reference!

of COURSE it's a reference to lost.

Calm yourself.

John Locke on Lost was named after the English Philosopher... :-)

No, in every interview or question concerning the song, moneen has stated that it was a Lost reference and had nothing to do with the philosopher.
