MTV.com (http://www.mtv.com) will be "leaking" Dashboard Confessional (http://www.dashboardconfessional.com)'s new album, Dusk and Summer, beginning on Monday, June 19th.

I feel like a little pussy, but I love this band and this album is pretty good, I'll be picking it up come release day.

This album is a MASSIVE dissapointment. I don't like it. =(
i completely disagree. i think its way better than the AMAMABAS. the songs flow alot better and the full band arrangements are alot smoother. plus, i adore the title track. but thats just me.

yeah...who posts where a leak is? seriously....I noticed their messageboards are down as of last night (when it leaked) probably be back up when "the leak" on mtv goes up.
Pretty good album Don't Wait, Dusk and Summer, So Long So Long, and Stolen are amazing

nothing on this new cd will touch hands down, rapid hope loss, as lovers go, bend and not break, carve your heart out yourself, or several ways to die trying. (i even love ghost of a good thing and morning calls -- but i could see people not being crazy over them)... but still, that's between 6 and 8 tracks that i adore... Good luck finding 8 songs you love on this new album.
i don't understand the hatred for his last album... especially by people who will like this new one. A mark.. was such a hated on cd b/c it wasn't old dashboard - but for what it was, it's a fantastic cd that i loved dearly -- just not of the same category as old DC.

well, i dont know when he traded intimate for anthemic, but im not sure i like it. but i also havent gotten through the whole thing.
oh, and listening to a cd before you buy it isn't murder. they used to have listening booths for this type of thing in the record store... not anymore.

How can you rate those as some of the best DC songs...I agree Hands Down and bend and not break are amazing, but why wouldnt you list songs like this bitter pill, remember to breathe, and best deceptions instead of all of that stuff from MMBS? but again..everyone has their own opinions:)

clearly a friendly and understanding guy.
i prefer anything off of the first cd and the ep over the new stuff, but i love so long, so long and a few songs. the new album is good, but it will surely grow on people

Umm so what if this album doesnt have a swiss army romance, or a this bitter pill, or a remember to breathe...
there is no way you can call it horrible ..i'd say its better than the last effort, but not as good as the first two full lengths

No no... i wasn't saying they were his best songs ever... i was defending his last album, and saying that there were at least 8 or so songs that were very very good, some of them GREAT.
I still prefer his oldest stuff by in large... but several ways to die trying and a few others off his last cd are right up there with a lot of the old stuff.
My point is... a lot of people hated on his last cd b/c it wasn't solo acoustic stuff -- but it was a great cd if you weren't so hard up for more of the same. I love the guys voice, i'd listen to anything he put out i think.. even though it sounds like his voice is dying a little bit.

Okay that makes much more sense, thanks for clarifying...and I might even agree...I think there are probably onloy 5 really good songs on this album....and yes I sadly think his voice is dying too...he is 30 isnt he?!
