It seems that everyone I talked to HATED this movie. I for one, thought it was really good.

Yourself?

I understand that people were looking for more of a comedy but when you take the movie for what it is, I think it was really well done.

I thought it was great. It was a very real movie. I love Nic Cage and Michael Caine as well.

I started swearing a lot more because of this movie, it has subsided now though.

eh. didn't care for it that much....and the whole thing felt more like a fast food ad.

I really enjoyed it.

Most people didn't like it because Nic Cage was not a nice character. He was a selfish, aimless prick and it never tried to justify what he did.

That is one of the reasons I liked the film

I thought it was amazing. I love dark humor like that.

if you want your father to think you're not a silly fuck, don't slap a guy across his face with a glove. because if you do that, that is what he will think, unless you're a nobleman, or something in the 19th century.

Yes this movie was absolutely amazing. I didn't know what to expect from the previews but I love Nicolas Cage (except Lords of War) so I saw the movie. I loved it!

Well I turned off Lord of War after 20 minutes so maybe I have to give it another go.

So you have a problem with him playing interesting characters?

Why the fuck do people always say 'I stopped watchin a movie after 20 minutes'?

How can you judge a movie that may well be 2 hours long on the opening 20 minutes?

i do it all the time. but i never go around saying the movie that caused me to do it sucks. i just consider it a mulligan and pretend it never happened.

i lose interest very quick, and if something rubs me the wrong way early, i give up.

I enjoyed the Weather Man, even though it was nothing like I expected it to be.
I bought it, but haven't watched it again since the first time...I should do that sometime soon.

My girlfriend and I deducted that Nic Cage narrates almost every single movie he stars in. I don't know why, but it also works really well. I love his mono tone narration in the backround the whole time.

Good movie. Lord of war was solid as well.
