Like in "Motion Picture Soundtrack" by Radiohead [2:15-2:35], or "Ghost" by Neutral Milk Hotel [3:11-3:58].

The recommendation sub-forum failed me.

That's not really definite though, it doesn't have a pattern. I'm trying to find stuff that's more than just abstract/obscure sounds.

Ooh! Ooh! "Decay" by ADALIE. The song's subject matter concerns death and an ultimate ascension into the cosmos. I'm sure it could easily be more ghoulish, ghostly, or whatever, but, it's within the topic.

And what? I don't recall ever hearing anything ghoulish in his music, unless you mean his whispery vocals.

i think his vocals sound pretty ghostly, but maybe that is just because of the way he died.

figure 8 (the song) definitely gives off the vibe. it sounds underwater, almost, with the piano.

Freelance Whales use a lot of interesting synth sounds in their songs, but I wouldn't consider them "ghoulish". Even so, maybe you'll find something you're looking for in there.

:ok:

I suck at interpreting some of these smiley faces, but, is the smiley face gesturing a sign of approval (i.e. "it's okay in my book", etc.)? Hopefully, it's a positive sign and I really appreciate that. Also, I like your John Cusack avatar. This Thanksgiving holiday weekend alone, I watched at least five or six of his movies and I still have more to watch!

I think the beginning two verses of A Manifesto Of Tangible Wealth by Gatsbys American Dream is pretty ghostly/haunting.
