i bought the margot and the nuclear so and so's album, it sounded very good from their myspace. so i put it in my computer, and it doesnt read the cd. it just spins in there, doesnt pull up on itunes, and my cd drive pops it back out. anyone else have this cd and can tell me what the deal is?

guys, do any of you have the album online and can private msg it to me or something, torrent or yousendit or something? i can prove to you i actually own the album by reading some of the liner notes or something. its unfair that i cant be able to listen to it, because my only means of portable music is an ipod, i dont own a cd player personally.

try burning it to another cd and then inserting the burned cd into the computer

it copied to my dad's laptop, but it has terrible quality for some reason. sounds like the cd is scratched real bad, but its not, and in a cd player it works fine. if anyone has a copy they can send me, it would be greatly appreciated...thanks

look at the cover/case/linear notes on your cd. Does it say anything about DRM or software on the cd for your computer? If it says it has anti-piracy software, then you're stuck with it. If not, you might have a defective cd for some reason. You could ask the band/label about it. Just say that you want to put the cd on your ipod, maybe they'll give you an itunes voucher or something.

Have you tried ripping it with anything that isn't Itunes? I use a really old mp3 ripping program that doesn't recognize copyright technology somehow (i also disabled autorun on my computer), so I've been able to rip cds that I shouldn't have been able to use. I ask this because I know nothing of Itunes since I hate ipods.
