Get a Stevie Wonder greatest hits package or something. Don't waste your money on something called Best Coast.

Have you checked out the new Relient K album, Forget and Not Slow Down, yet? Based on your tastes, you could be a Relient K fan, but I guess I could be wrong.

Hey Saveferris, judging from your profile, I'm guessing you already worship the throne of Through Being Cool. In the event that you don't, download and worship.

You don't have to base these recommendations on my pre-existing taste in music. I'll try pretty much anything. What's up with this band Grizzly Bear, are they any good?

Through Being Cool is one of my favorite albums of all time. I still have the physical copy of it from middle school. It's pretty much the only one I have left.

Sweet. One of my favorites of the year for sure.

It's just typically easier to recommend music based on one's existing taste in music. Other random recommendations I'd like to throw out:

The National - Boxer
Thrice - Beggars (You've probably heard it already, but if not, I personally think it's worth checking out.)
Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago
Bradley Hathaway - A Mouth Full of Dust
Taylor Swift - Fearless (I'm not kidding.)
Project 86 - Picket Fence Cartel
Northbrook - Maybe...
Regina Spektor - Songs

Thank you. I'll probably buy the Thrice one. And I can borrow the Taylor Swift one from my friend. She's obsessed.

I've been really into John Nolan's solo album, Height. Check that out.

What's up with Grizzly Bear is that they're a band major internet sites are pushing on everyone. Boring choirboys playing wimpy indie rock. Sorry you had to hear that they're good. Actually, Yellow House is quite good. It's that terrible new record...

I hate to do this because I have a vested interest in the band I'm going to suggest, but from your list of favorite albums, you might like this band called Hailey, It Happens. I'd also recommend The Dangeous Summer's new album.

Agreed. Light's new one is close to my top for '09, but it doesn't quite have the magic of Reach for the Sun.

Recently heard these two guys from LA. They call themselves YOYA.

Very interesting music they call "folktronic". Some really good mash-ups between Radiohead and Gary Jules, Elton John & David Bowie and few others.

Check it out on http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/nothing-to-die/id367130999
