I would not put Eternal Sunlight of The Spotless Mind at the top of a Best Films of The Decade list. It's an awesome movie, but is it better then every good film put out on in the last 10 years? Not a chance in hell.

I'm really disappointed in all these lists excluding LiT. All three of Coppola's films would probably make my top 50.

I saw your list for best movies this year and I think I had seen maybe 2 and just heard of a couple more. Nobody wants to hear about your elitest foreign films.
I really do wish I had a chance to see more movies foreign and domestic.
i agree more with this list than any other...

Nice to see Almost Famous on a list finally; it's in my top 5 for sure. Also, glad they didn't ignore LotR, but Two Towers seems like a strange choice. I love it, but I thought it was almost universally considered the weakest of the three? Once again though, they shouldn't split them, it should be all together. Same goes for Kill Bill, which is way too high I think, especially since 2 is better. Glad to see Zodiac getting it's deserved attention on these lists. And why the fuck does A.I. keep popping up? One of the worst movies I've seen this decade.

This post is just a storm of shit.
I'd also like to see Minority Report and Inglourious Basterds, but not every list is going to have everything you want on it. And no list is going to have Revenge of the Sith on it. I'm sorry.
As for The Dark Knight, it doesn't even deserve to be on this list, in my opinion, but if it has to be there, I think in the 40's is a good place for it. There are so many better films, both on and off this list.
Your reply is just making it look like you don't know shit about movies. I'm sure these people have seen far more of them than you, anyway...
I'm not even going to reply to the last part, because it's opinion entirely. Even if you didn't like it though, it's filmmaking at it's finest, and the COEN Brothers have made much better films than O Brother Where Art Thou.

agree, even though I can't get any of my friends into it because it doesn't have explosions or will ferrel in it.
the lord of the rings deserves to be in the top ten, the departed and mystic river need to be on the list

25th hour is an incredibly under appreciated movie and I'm kinda shocked it's getting recognized like this. I wouldn't put it in the top 5 though. I'd say it's more in the top 25 (har har) range personally.
Also, The Departed is missing? Why? I'd put that in there over a lot of movies listed.

Children of Men made it but not Amores Perros? Children of Men is such a piece of shit, I would put it on the same list as The Fountain for most disappointing movies this decade.

Eternal Sunshine at the top of that list is weird.
And huzzah for The Incredibles and Moulin Rouge!

Really pleased to see The Man Who Wasn't There on this list, it's really under-appreciated and one of my favorite films. Although, I really wouldn't agree with over half of the choices, mainly in order.

I guess that's because it's my favorites of the decade, not yours. I'll put together a list with Transformers and Transformers 2 at #1 and #2 respectively and you can fill in the rest to create your favorites list.

This entire post was unnecessary and unexpected. Were you just waiting for an opportunity to make that joke? It would have been funnier if it were on someone more fitting, by the way.
No Motorcycle Diaries, Amores Perros, Atonement...crappy.

I've seen The New World on a few of these lists now and I was pretty sure this movie got mostly mediocre reviews when it came out. The man did make Days of Heaven though, so I guess it might be better than the trailer made it seem.

It's split 50-50 between people who hate it and people who think it's a masterpiece. It is a real slow burner and takes alot of patience. However, I think it is universally recognized as one of the most beautifully shot films of all time.
