with as many boston people as we have, i'm surprised there isn't a thread on him today.

how good do you think he would have been?

sad really. yeah, doing coke is fucking stupid, but still sad. dude had a great future ahead of him.

too young to really know much about him other than he died and that he had a lot of potential. Everything i know about his playing abilities i learned by reading espn.com earlier

because no fan of boston would ever really want to talk about this. its depressing.

if youre a journalist or whatever, the anniversary gives you more of a push to do a story about it but jesus christ, i never want to think about len bias OR reggie lewis again.

they, more than anything, are why the celtics have been essentially a fucking joke since bird retired.

maryland fans would probably know more about bias than celtics fans, he never even played a game for them.

I was coming on here to make a thread about him. Terrible story. I like how Coach K said there were only two players that were very intimidating in their conference...Jordan and Bias.

yeah, i remember reggie lewis vividly. although it wasnt the official cause of death, a history of drug use was suspected to be the reason for his heart ailment, which led to his death.

in my opinion, that was even more tragic from a celtics fan point of view. Bias, although tragic, seemed to get a bit more publicity because it was just 2 days after the draft and the use of cocaine was a definitive cause. reggie had contributed far more to the organization.

again, i reiterate, they were both tragic. i'm speaking strictly in terms of publicity.
